MFNZ-News -> Rules
Rules and recommendations
Important Note: Comments and opinions expressed in postings to NZMAA-News
are those of the individual and are not necessarily those of the MFNZ, or
it's Committee.
- Please don't try to send images and other attachments to the list.
They will be blocked. Many people are connected to the Internet via slow
modems and find downloading large images not only a pain, but expensive.
Please email the list first asking who would like to receive the images,
and then email the images to those people only.
- This is not a joke list.
- Please do not send "Me too" posts.
- Write descriptive subject lines. If the discussion topic changes,
change the header to suit.
- Do not mis-interpret posts. Remember humour and sarcasm can easily
be confused as personal attacks.
- Don't attack people for their ideas, try to persuade them by
presenting facts and clear reasoning.
- Write concise posts. If you waffle on, you'll lose the reader's
interest and just waste people's time.
- When replying to a previous post, edit the post. Don't quote a 50
line post and just add a one line answer! Delete the excess and just
show what is required to follow the discussion.
- Blatant spamming of the list (business or otherwise) will not be
accepted. However if your business has a genuine Aeromodelling offer to
members of the MFNZ, a single post is acceptable.
- If your message is a news item consider sending it to the "New
Zealand Model Flyers World" e-mail
g.p.mildenhall@paradise.net.nz
- Using non-ASCII formatting for your messages plays havoc with some
email programs. It is common courtesy to turn it off and post only in
plain text.
- Before replying to an email, ask yourself if everyone needs to see
this post, or can it just be sent to the original sender?
- Final Note: This list is for discussions on Aeromodelling. Some
people don't wish to receive emails on non-relevant topics. Please
respect this wish.
As this list is provided by the MFNZ we reserve the right to warn
or remove anyone who does not comply with these rules. We also reserve
the right to moderate the list as required.
